Unified Design Framework for Mobile Robot Systems

As part of my PhD I have developed a Unified Design Framework for Mobile Robot Systems. This framework can be used for the design of new robot systems, or the classification of existing robot systems. Is does not rely upon existing software libraries or middleware. In September 2008, my thesis will be available for download from here.

The Robot System class, below, includes Environments, Users, Interaction devices and Robots.

The Robot class, below, may comprise of zero or more vehicles and zero or more cognitive components.
