Asteroid Landing System

Between 2002 and 2004 I was employed as a TCS (now KTP) associate by the Bristol Robotics Laboratory and Systems Engineering and Assessment Ltd (SEA).

The TCS project included the development of a technology demonstrator for an unmanned asteroid landing system.

The system was built upon the LinuxBot platform. As part of the project a 2D infra-red localisation system, vision guidance system and optimised path planning system were developed.

During my time as a TCS associate I started a part-time PhD entitled "A Unified Framework for Mobile Robot Systems".
